How these countdowns work
Every countdown runs to midnight at the start of the day, in your own time zone. The big number is calendar days to go, the answer to “how many days until”, and the exact time left is shown underneath, down to the second, along with the wait in weeks, hours, and minutes.
Holiday countdowns roll over to the next year by themselves. Birthdays and anniversaries repeat every year, and one-off dates like weddings and trips show how long ago they were once they've passed. Deadlines, launches, concerts, and events can also count down to a time of day. When you share a personal countdown, the date is part of the link, and it isn't stored. Every countdown can also be downloaded as a square image.
