How the concert countdown works
Enter the concert and the date; the time and venue are optional. The big number is calendar days until the show. Add the start time from your ticket and the exact countdown runs to that moment, so on the day it shows the hours and minutes until the lights go down. The venue appears under the date, which makes a shared link a handy reminder of where you're going.
Times use your own time zone. If you're traveling to a show in another time zone, enter the start time as it will be on your device on the day.
This page only counts down. It doesn't sell tickets or look up events: have your ticket or the venue's page open for the date and time.
Doors time or showtime?
Tickets often list a “doors” time, when the venue opens, that's an hour or more before the first act. Openers go on after that, and the headliner can be an hour or two later still. Count down to doors if you want a good spot on the floor; count down to the headliner if you're timing dinner beforehand.
A pre-show checklist
- Weeks out: book travel and a place to stay if the show's out of town. Hotels near big venues fill up on show nights.
- A week out: check the venue's bag policy (many only allow small clear bags) and add your mobile tickets to your phone's wallet.
- The day before: plan how you'll get there and back. Parking and rideshares around a sold-out show can take a while.
- On the day: charge your phone, bring earplugs, and eat before you go.
