How the exam countdown works
Enter the exam's name and date. The result reads like “Biology Final is in 23 days!”, with the date underneath. The big number is calendar days to go, including weekends, and the boxes below show the same time as weeks, hours, and minutes. The exact countdown runs to midnight at the start of exam day in your time zone.
It works for any test: finals and midterms, the SAT or ACT, AP exams, the bar exam, professional certifications, or a driving test. Nothing you type leaves your browser unless you share it.
Turn days left into a study plan
A countdown is most useful when the number drives a plan. A simple way to use it:
- List the topics the exam covers, using the syllabus or past papers.
- Count your real study days. Take the days left and subtract days you won't study: work shifts, other exams, a day off each week.
- Divide the topics across those days, and keep the last few days before the exam for review and practice tests rather than new material.
- Check the number every day. If you fall behind, you'll see it while there's still time to adjust.
Spacing your study over several weeks, and testing yourself rather than rereading, tends to work better than cramming, which is exactly why it helps to know how many days you really have.
