A quick days-until calculator
Choose any date and the countdown appears immediately: “December 18, 2026 is in 90 days!” The big number is the calendar days from today to that date, which is the answer to “how many days until”. Underneath you'll see the same span as weeks and days, plus the total hours, minutes, and seconds, all counting down live.
Adding a label is optional. It replaces the date in the result, so “Payday is in 9 days!” reads a little better when you share it.
How the days are counted
- Today doesn't count, the target day does. Tomorrow is 1 day away. It's the same as counting the number of mornings until the date.
- Every day counts, weekends and holidays included. For working days, take away about two days for each full week.
- Midnight in your time zone. The exact countdown runs to the very start of the date on your device's clock. Need a specific time? Use the event countdown.
- Past dates work too. Pick a date that's already gone and it tells you how many days ago it was.
Things people count down to
Payday, a doctor's appointment, the end of a lease or a contract, a license renewal, the last day at a job, a visit from family, the end of a challenge, or a date you just want to see coming. If it's one of the big ones, there's a countdown made for it, such as a birthday, a wedding, a vacation, or a deadline.
