How the launch countdown works

Enter the name of the launch, the date, and the time it goes live if you have one. The result reads like “App 2.0 is in 14 days!” The big number counts calendar days, and with a launch time the exact countdown runs to the minute, so on launch day it shows exactly how many hours you have left.

It works for a product or feature release, a website going live, an app store release, a Kickstarter or crowdfunding campaign, a newsletter or course launch, a book release, or a store opening.

A note on time zones

The countdown uses the time zone of whoever is looking at it. If you launch at 9:00 AM Pacific and share the link, someone in London will see a countdown to 9:00 AM London time. For a global audience, it's clearest to state the launch time and time zone in your announcement alongside the countdown.

Working back from launch day

The weeks figure is the one to plan with. A typical run-up for a small product launch:

Share the countdown

Share this countdown makes a link with the name, date, and time built in, with a link preview showing the days left: useful in a team channel, or to build a little anticipation on social media.Download image saves a square picture of the countdown to post. Nothing you type is stored.

Juggling the tasks before launch? Give each one a deadline countdown. For a launch party or event, there's the event countdown.
