Birthdays that know how old everyone is
Add a birthday with a name and a birth date, and Notchiko works out the rest: how many days until the next one and how old they're turning. The card in your notch reads “23 days · Emma turns 9”. On the day itself it says “Emma is 9 today 🎉”, and the next day it starts counting to the following year.
In Settings › Countdowns you'll also see everyone's exact age, like “8 years, 4 months, 7 days”. Ages are always worked out from the birth date, so they're right every day without you updating anything.
People and pets
Mark a birthday as a person's or a pet's, and give each one its own Chiko: a Cupcake for your sister, a Corgi for the dog, a Black Cat for the cat. Born on February 29? The birthday falls on February 28 in other years.
A little celebration
Chikos get more excited as the day gets closer. With Notchiko Lifetime, the birthday Chiko wears a party hat on the day and the notch fills with confetti.

Private by design
Birthdays are personal. Notchiko keeps them on your Mac: no account, no cloud, no tracking, and it works offline. It's a native Mac app for macOS 14 Sonoma or later, and shows as a small floating pill on Macs without a notch.
